Dubu

Dubu is a hard-hitting (but fluffy) bodyguard and defender.

Strike

	MELEE Melee A type of hit that scales with the striker's size. Strikes, dashes and most short-ranged abilities are considered MELEE hits
	Knock the Core in a direction with a LIGHT MELEE hit.

Lingers for ~0.15s.

Evade

	When not fully charged, spend Energy to briefly become ELUSIVE, avoiding all incoming damage and knockbacks. Casting an ability ends this effect early. Gains additional effects if cast with 100% Energy.

Ability Details
Requires and uses 25 Energy (1 bar). Elusive duration: 1.5s. Using any ability cancels the effect early. Automatically uses Energy Burst instead when used with 75 Energy (3 bars).

Energy Burst

	Spend all of your Energy to EVADE and unleash an additional burst of power. This knocks back and stuns enemies momentarily, briefly grants you exclusive control of the Core, and dramatically increases the power of your next hit against it.

Ability Details
Requires and uses 75 Energy (3 bars). Elusive duration: 1.5s. Using any ability cancels the effect early. Hitting the Core while it is under your exclusive control increases the Core Knockback of the hit by 50%, as well as the Knockback cap. Grants energy on a hit, which is given after the 75 is spent to use the ability. Size does not increase radius. Only affected by Power and generic damage %.

Ability Details
Log duration ~2s. Before release, has a forward-facing hitbox that hits the Core for ~600 (but only while the core is moving in a vector within the 180 degrees behind the log, i.e. opposing the ability’s direction). This pre-release hitbox can hit the Core as many times as possible (per-frame). BUG: With extremely tight timing (easier at slow core speed), it is possible for the pre-release hitbox to hit the core in the backward direction. Decelerates once released. The deceleration of the log heavily reduces the effectiveness of projectile range. The projectile/creation can hit slightly behind dubu. Does not stun targets with its knockback, unlike other abilities.

Somerassault

	DASH Dash a type of MOVEMENT ABILITY that causes the Striker to dash in a fixed direction and speed MELEE Melee A type of hit that scales with the striker's size. Strikes, dashes and most short-ranged abilities are considered MELEE hits IMPACT Impact A type of hit that is capable of affecting 2 or more targets simultaneously. Commonly referred to as "area of effect" or AOE DEBUFF Debuff a negative effect a Striker can apply to enemy players or the Core. Debuffs usually have a duration
	Roll in a direction. At max range or on impact with an enemy, smash nearby enemies, stunning them.

Ability Details
Stuns strikers for 0.5s. Can stun the core for 0.25s, preventing it from receiving knockback (this version of the stun is unaffected by debuff duration). Can’t stun a core during another striker’s Energy Burst. A stunned Core ignores energy burst. Gravity effects (such as mako’s Drum n’ Base) can’t move the core during the stun. Impact zone is created on first target hit, stopping the dash. Impact crater’s radius will increase with size, but not the visuals.

Creation Duration 2.5s. These creations act like a wall would and perform rebound calculations appropriately. An Evasive target may pass through the bowls.

Lore

Big, round, and ready to hold the line against whatever the opposing team may throw at him, Dubu is the friend-shaped defender that every striker wants on their team. His ability to block off large portions of the arena is unmatched.

Dubu's origins are unclear. Juliette found him as a small creature, shuffling around for food in a back-alley dumpster. She took him inside a soondubu restaurant owned by her grandmother's friend and fed him a block of tofu. He scarfed the block up and Juliette happily fed him more, and more, and more. She affectionately named him "Dubu", after the tofu he loved to eat.

Over time, Dubu grew to massive size, soon towering over Juliette. He followed Juliette everywhere she went - waiting outside of her classrooms at school, helping at her work at the soondubu shop, and playing alongside her on the Corestrike fields. Dubu took to his role as Juliette's protector, defending her from older kids that would try and bully her, steal her equipment, or beat her up on the field. Dubu viewed this as a small token of appreciation for everything Juliette had done for him.

Together, the two grew strong and rose up the ladders of the amateur leagues. Their ascension was noticed by a business mogul looking to make the next great Pro League team. He made Juliette an offer to join his team, but she wasn't going anywhere without Dubu. Reluctantly, the mogul agreed and put the two on a team together with Estelle. Dubu is excited to help Juliette accomplish her dream of becoming a Pro League champion, but deep down he wonders if he will ever learn more about who he is and where he comes from.
