Awakenings are buffs that give various bonuses to Strikers during matches. In Normals and Competitive, they are selected at the start of a match and after every set. In Quick Play, all six players use the same Awakenings randomly selected between several predefined groups during Striker select.

At the start of every match, all six players are given the choice between the same 2 random Awakenings. These are shown during the entire Striker selection period and the selection can be changed freely until the match starts. If a selection is not made, the Awakening on the left will be taken automatically. If an Awakening appears during Striker select, it will not appear again for the rest of the match.

After each set, players select an additional Awakening that takes effect for all future sets of the match from a shared random pool of 8 options. Only one player may take any given Awakening in the pool, and once an Awakening appears it will not appear again for the rest of the match whether or not it is taken.

Players have a limited time to select Awakenings, and do so one by one in order. If a selection is not made or a new selection is not made when a pre-selected Awakening is taken, the Awakening in the top-leftmost possible slot is taken automatically. The pick order is determined by the amount of Experience earned by each player in the previous set as follows:

Not every Striker can make use of every Awakening. If none of a Striker's abilities are improved by an Awakening, a yellow triangle icon will warn that it will not be effective but will not prevent its selection.

  • Abilities check distance on both the user's original cast location and the ability's point of impact, and the Deadeye bonus is granted if either location is 600+ units away from the struck target.

DASH range, BLINK range, and HASTE effects increased 70%. Your IMPACT abilities hit 12.5% harder (2.5% on Core).

  • The collection count is shared with Orb Ponderer.

Power Orbs reduce active cooldowns by 15%. After collecting 5 without being KOed, this effect is increased to 30%.
  • The collection count starts from 0 when the Awakening is taken (even if Power Orbs were collected earlier in the match), and carries over between sets.

Normal hits deal bonus damage equal to 7.5% (Light hits 2.5%) of enemies' max Stagger over 2.5s.

Strikes hit the core 22.5% harder when aiming towards an ally. If that Ally strikes the core within 1.5 second(s) they will hit the core 20% harder, if they strike towards an Ally they can transfer this buff.
  • Team Player activates in a 30 degree cone between the Core and allied Strikers.
  • Only 1 Buff can be transferred at a time, but a Striker with Team Player can still hit the core 20% harder on top of the transferable buff.
  • Any form of redirection (such as hitting walls or barriers) other than a strike will remove the buff.

SECONDARY gains +1 charge and has 5% increased cooldown.
Unstoppable

Gain a shield that protects you from 100% of the damage and 100% knockback from the first hit you take. This shield recharges at the start of each round and after 6.5s of not getting hit.

Former Awakenings

Over time, new Awakenings are added to the game, diluting the selection pool. As a result, several Awakenings are removed from active rotation in Normals and Competitive and are unavailable for selection. This ensures that 34 Awakenings are in rotation at all times, meaning all Awakenings will appear once in matches that play through the maximum amount of sets. However, matches in Quick Play use predetermined Awakening combinations, where rotated out Awakenings can still show up in gameplay.
